Scholarship Applications

Sailfish Point Employees

The Foundation accepts scholarship applications any time during the year for employees. There is no deadline as employees have the benefit of a rolling enrollment, however, in order to accommodate processing efficiently, please review preference below. Reimbursements are not available. All year-round full-time and full-time seasonal employees of Sailfish Point (POA, Golf Club, and Condominium employees) are eligible to apply for a scholarship, provided that:

  • The employee has completed at least one full season at the time the application is submitted and
  • Employee agrees to return the next season

Part-time employees are also eligible, provided that they have:

  • Completed one year of service and
  • Work over 600 hours per year

The scholarship awarded will be valued up to $3,000.00 for the scholarship year following the award. An employee is eligible for up to eight years for scholarships.
Please submit for Fall scholarships by July 15th, 2024
Please submit for Spring scholarships by January 15th, 2025

Spouse or Dependent of a Sailfish Point Employee

A child or spouse of an eligible employee is eligible to apply for a scholarship, provided that the person is a financial dependent of the employee (employee must claim the child as a dependent on the tax return). In the case of a child that is no longer a dependent, the application will be evaluated on a case by case basis and decided at the discretion of the Board. In the instance of a non-dependent child, a birth certificate and 1040 Tax Return will be required. There is not a hard deadline for the scholarship applications as dependents have the benefit of a rolling enrollment, however, in order to accommodate processing efficiency, please review preference below. Reimbursements are not available.

  • The scholarship awarded will be valued up to $7,500.00 and must be used within the following scholarship year.
  • The child can receive a scholarship for up to five years of undergraduate study plus an additional three years of graduate study but must reapply every year. Hardship exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

For Fall scholarships, please submit by July 15th, 2024
For Spring scholarships, please submit by January 15th, 2025

Pursing Trade or Vocational Program

Students must be pursuing a trade or vocation and a resident of Martin County. Decisions will be based on financial need.

• The scholarship award is TBD.

• The application window is ongoing. Available to all public high schools in Martin County.

Graduating High School Senior Pursuing College or University

Recipients will be evaluated on weighted GPA, class rank, number of hours working during the school year, family income, extracurricular activities, and community involvement in addition to short answer responses. Must plan to be accepted for enrollment as a full-time undergraduate at an accredited educational institution in the U.S. and must be a graduating senior.

 • The scholarship awarded will be valued up to $3,500.00 and renewable up to four years.

• Open from September 1 through January 9. Available to all public high schools in Martin County.
